iGaming Solutions Asia cover: Mobile Payments in Pakistan: A Merchant Overview

Understand Pakistan's mobile payment options for merchant acceptance.

What this page covers

Phone-based payments are how many customers in Pakistan already move money day to day. If you sell online there, the question is not whether the method exists but whether your checkout can offer it, what it costs you, and what you must do to keep it working. This page sets out what our directory has verified, and what you still have to confirm with a provider.

What our directory has verified

Six provider profiles carry a Pakistan market coverage record, each created from the provider's own website or a staff check with a date attached: Easypaisa, JazzCash, Keenu, Onelink, PayFast (PK) and Safepay.

That record says one thing: our research team linked the provider to the Pakistan market using an official source. It does not say the provider offers a phone-wallet flow to merchants, that the flow is enabled for your business category, or that it is live for new merchants today. Where a payment method is recorded for a provider we store it as a relationship row with a verification state you can read on the profile; where nothing is recorded, the profile says "Not publicly disclosed".

Where the official material sits

The State Bank of Pakistan publishes material on payment systems and mobile financial services at https://www.sbp.org.pk. Read it for yourself rather than relying on a reseller's summary. Our directory does not interpret those rules for your business, and it does not state that any listed provider holds a licence.

What to ask a provider about wallet flows

1. **Is the wallet flow live for new merchants in my category today**, rather than planned? 2. **What does the customer see** - a request they approve on their own app, a PIN entry, or a redirect? 3. **What happens when the customer declines or ignores the request**, and how is that reported to your system? 4. **How failures are handled** - timeouts, partial responses, and how you reconcile them. 5. **Refunds** - who initiates them, how long they take, and what the customer is told. 6. **Recurring payments** - whether they are supported at all, and what the customer must approve. 7. **Cost** - what you pay per transaction and per failed attempt, in writing.

What our records do not cover

For these providers the directory does not hold verified data on pricing per method, settlement timing, payout currency, mandate rules, or acceptance criteria. Ask each provider directly and keep the dated reply.

A short verification routine

Open the provider profile and read the method rows with their verification state. Ask for the live flow list in writing. Test the full flow in a sandbox, including a declined and an abandoned payment. Check the regulator's published material at https://www.sbp.org.pk for what applies to you. Keep every answer with its date.

Where to look next

The Pakistan country page lists the providers our directory has recorded for that market. Place two or three profiles in the comparison tool to see which questions remain open for each. If you hold an official document that adds or corrects a record, submit it through the correction form on the profile and we will check it against the source before the record changes.

A note on the word "supports"

A provider page that lists a wallet flow is not the same thing as a flow that is live for you. Ask whether it is enabled for new merchants in your category today, whether it has been used by merchants like you, and what the failure behaviour looks like when a customer walks away mid-payment. Those three answers tell you more than a logo on a feature list, and they cost a provider nothing to give.
